About Me

I'm a graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Business Administration.

 

I have explored aspects of the fashion industry, as well as essential business functions such as management, accounting, marketing, finance, etc. Throughout my VCU experience, I was able to take courses that explored all sides of marketing that encompass fashion such as branding, event planning, product development, merchandising, buying, etc.

 

Currently I am working for Sherwin-Williams Paints, a fortune 500 company, as an Assistant Store Manager. My responsibilities include inventory management, merchandising, leadership, trademark service, etc.

June 2017 - Present

  • Handle all merchandising aspects of the store such as completing planograms, promotional banners and fixtures, and overall store appearance. 

  • Assist with inventory management on a weekly basis to ensure products ordered reflect client demands. 

  • Consistently monitor store sales in order to reach each monthly goal according to the store's profit and loss statement. 

Editorial Intern / The Idle Man

Sept. 2016 - Dec. 2016

  • Supported the marketing team with their social media platforms. 

  • Assisted with promotion of week-long Black Friday sales.

  • Wrote articles for e commerce site under style advice and street style inspiration. 

  • Assisted with a photo shoot featuring Irish TV producer and style entrepreneur, Darren Kennedy. 

Product Development Intern / Handsocks

March 2016 - July 2016

  • Created surveys in order to understand the current target market. 

  • Researched new print ideas for children's wear from forecasting websites. 

  • Aided with the marketing activities for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.

2017 / May

Earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration.

 

  • Entrepreneurship - developed a business plan to open a new bar in the Richmond Area, which contains detailed reports on marketing, product & service, personnel, and financial plans. 

  • Product Development -  created a luxury manufacturing brand for women's clothing and built a look book to promote the line.

  • Integrated Marketing Communications - re-positioned an established brand to target a new potential market with a cohesive marketing plan. 

  • Branding - learned how to use promotional tools to enhance the brand's image through loyalty programs, sweepstakes, and starter kits. ​

2016 / Dec

I studied abroad at London, England for one semester and took three courses related to my major such as:

​

  • Visual Merchandising - learned the importance of strategic placement by creating a unique fixture for G-Star's flagship.   

  • Fashion Forecasting - developed analytical skills to foresee upcoming trends by presenting my findings through a blog.

  • London Fashion - gained further knowledge about the history of fashion in London.
